On a more practical level, we believe that that a building ought to function great before it can look great, and that it ought to work hard so the occupant doesn’t have to. That design, great design, ought to be thorough, well-detailed, and finely crafted. We believe that existing buildings contain an intrinsic value, and represent enormous investment of skill, labor, materials, and finite resources—all of which should be respected and utilized if at all possible.

Finally, we believe that a client’s home is truly a safe haven, a refuge in the most literal sense. We endeavor to assist clients in identifying potential threats, both natural and manmade, and to provide practical and effective solutions for their unique requirements in an increasingly uncertain world.
